So far, the BMC has treated seven firecracker-related minor injuries.
Meanwhile, DOH Regional Director Flores reported that firecrackers and fireworks-related injuries in Central Luzon, wherein most of the victims are children, rose to 40 as of Saturday, Dec. 30.

Fernando also encouraged the Bulakenyos to watch what they eat during the holidays.
“Kailangang ingatan rin natin ang ating pagkain. Umiwas tayo sa masyadong maaalat, matataba. Bantayan din natin ang mga ito. Pagtulung-tulungan natin upang ligtas nating masalubong ang bagong taon,” (We also need to take care our food. Avoid much salty, and fatty food. Let us all welcome the New Year safe)," the governor said.
