VP Sara brings message of peace, hope in Pangasinan


Vice President Sara Duterte has visited Pangasinan to bring a "message of love, hope and peace."

Duterte went to the municipalities of Binalonan and Urdaneta not only to distribute gift packs to farmers, persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), among others, but also to delivercc her message.

She said she made a call for peace and urged the people to support the government and not the groups who have "bad intention for the community, such as the criminals, terrorists, members of the New People's Army, drug personalities, swindlers, scammers, among others."

"Ang pagkakaisa po ng komunidad laban sa mga illegal na aktibidad ang magbibigay po ng katahimikan at kapayapaan sa inyong lugar (The community's unity against illegal activities will bring peace in the area)," she said in a statement about her visit.

The Vice President said she also met with some parents in the province to encourage them to help the government in stressing the importance of education in their life and for their future.

"Patuloy tayong maging matatag tungo sa isang Bansang Makabata at mga Batang Makabansa (Let's continue being strong for a nation that is pro-children and for the youth that is pro-nation)," she said.

"Ang lahat ng ating ginagawa ay para sa Diyos, sa bayan, at sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino (All the things that we do are for the God, for the nation and for every Filipino family)," she added.
