Outreach program benefits PNP members in Rizal Province

The spirit of the holiday season has reached a police camp in Rizal Province courtesy of a religious-civic organization.

Through the initiative of the Members Church of God International (MCGI) and its allied media group, an outreach program served the members of the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) and their dependents on Dec. 28.

Led by Daniel Razon, the MCGI provided free medical, dental, and legal services to the police personnel and their dependents during the program held at the covered court of the Rizal PPO.

Rizal police director Col. Felipe Maraggun and other police officials welcomed and thanked Razon’s group for the first outreach program of the religious organization to have benefitted policemen and their family members in Region 4-A.

Aside from the medical and dental services, reading glasses, wheel chairs, nebulizers and grocery packs were also distributed to the beneficiaries as part of the ongoing charitable projects of the MCGI and Razon’s 40th year anniversary in the ministry.

Rizal PPO Information Office chief Capt. Mariesol Tactaquin told Manila Bulletin that the outreach program also became a venue to formalize the agreement between the MCGI and the Rizal PPO on the proposed projects in the police camp located in Taytay, Rizal.

Couple Esteban and Beth Sabijon, both active members of the MCGI who are residents of Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City, upon learning of the outreach program that happened in the police camp in Taytay, told Manila Bulletin that they are both happy and praying for the continuous success of the civic projects of Razon and his group and members so that more people including the police and their family, regardless of their religious affiliation, would benefit from the activities that have helped thousands in and out of the country.

"Ipinagdarasal din namin ang mahabang buhay ni Kuya Daniel at paglaganap ng MCGI hindi lang dito sa Pilipinas maging sa ibang bansa, (We also pray for Kuya Daniel's long life and the expansion of MCGI not only here in the Philippines but also in other countries), " the Sabijons added.

Col. Maraggun said the partnership with the non-government organizations such as the MCGI will strengthen and boost the police organization's anti-criminality efforts.

"With the success and benevolence of our stakeholders, rest assured that the Rizal PNP will continue doing its mandate in maintaining peace and order in the community”, Maraggun said during the activity at the police camp.
