Man arrested for snatching woman's cell phone, money in Taguig
A snatcher was arrested by the police after he took a woman’s cell phone and money in Taguig on Dec. 29.
The suspect, identified only by the Southern Police District (SPD) as alias Romy, 31, was arrested in a follow-up by members of the Western Bicutan Police Substation 2 at Food Terminal Inc.-Philippine National Railways (FTI-PNR) Station.

The victim, alias Rose, 23, told the police that she was waiting for a passenger jeepney when a man approached her and quickly grabbed her bag containing a cell phone worth P8,000 and P285 in cash, and ran towards Arca South.
The guard on duty at the FTI-PNR Station helped the victim to report the incident to the Police Substation 2.
A follow-up operation by the police together with the victim led to the arrest of the suspect, who was identified by Rose.
However, her cell phone was not recovered from the suspect.
A complaint for robbery-snatching will be filed against the suspect who is now detained at the Taguig Police custodial facility.
