Bohol governor holds outreach program to mark 46th birth anniversary


CEBU CITY – Hundreds of families benefited from an outreach program marking the 46th birth anniversary of Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado on Friday, December 29.

The outreach program in Tintinan Island, Ubay, Bohol, was led by the province’s Medical Outreach Unit, Special Projects Section, and the Governor's Office.

“We are happy with the success of our island outreach program which was our way of thanking the people,” said Aumentado.

One-hundred eighty-five households benefited from the free medical checkup.

Doctors and nurses distributed free vitamins and medicines.

Twenty residents availed themselves of free dental services.

Sacks of rice were also distributed by the Office of Social Welfare and Development to 246 families.

The Education Development Center gave 183 school bags to pupils of Tintinan Elementary School.

Porridge and 1,000 nutri buns from the office of Sen. Imee Marcos were given to school children who were also treated to parlor games.

Brand-new clothes were  distributed by the governor and his wife, Bohol Rep. Vanessa Aumentado.

“It was heartwarming to see the faces while we were giving gifts to them. I want to thank God for giving me the privilege to serve the people of Bohol,” the governor added.
