Filipinos were enjoined to help achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for persons with disabilities (PWDs) as the country celebrates International Day of PWDs on Sunday, Dec. 3.

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) urged the citizenry to unite in achieving the sustainable development agenda that ensures the inclusion and development of PWDs around the world.
"Ngayong International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), inaanyayahan ng Presidential Communications Office ang buong bansa na magkaisang kumilos para maabot ang Sustainable Development Goals para sa ating mga kababayang PWD (On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Presidential Communications Office invites the entire country to join the effort in achieving Sustainable Development Goals for our PWD fellowmen)," the PCO said in a statement on Sunday.
The Malacañang's communication arm also called on Filipinos to push for quality education, healthcare services, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
"Isulong natin ang dekalidad na edukasyon at serbisyong pangkalusugan, dagdag at pantay na oportunidad, at mga pasilidad at institusyong magpapalakas sa kanilang kakayahan (Let us push for quality education and healthcare services, equal opportunities, and institutions that bolster their capabilities)," the PCO said.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is a United Nations day that is celebrated on the 3rd of December every year.
