Parañaque LGU starts distribution of Christmas gift packs, certificates to residents

The Parañaque city government started the distribution of Christmas gift packs and certificates to persons with disabilities on disabilities (PWDs) on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said around 250,000 Parañaqueños will receive Christmas gift packs containing corned beef, vienna sausage, luncheon meat, fruit cocktail, crema asada, spaghetti pack, and coffee.
Olivarez said for the PWDs around 15,000 will receive P2,000 SODEXO gift certificates which they can use to buy grocery items.
He said the distribution of Christmas gift packs was first conducted at the News Barangay Hall gym and Sitio Libjo in Barangay Sto. Nino.
The mayor said residents of Barangay Baclaran received their Christmas gift packs at the Baclaran Elementary School on Sunday, Dec. 3.
Olivarez said for the PWDs a total of 2,456 already received their gift certificate.
He said that on the first day of distribution, 1195 PWDs from Barangays Baclaran, Tambo, and Don Boso received gifts, while a total of 1,262 from Barangays La Huerta, Don Galo, Sto. Nino and Vitalez on the second day.
