'Mas matagal ang MRT-7': Guanzon memes 11-year Kathniel relationship

The 11-year off-screen relationship between showbiz personalities Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is nothing to sneeze at.

But as Filipinos slowly but surely process the Internet-breaking news of their break-up, people like P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon are beginning to turn the length of Kathniel's relationship into a meme.

"Mas matagal padin magawa ang MRT 7 kaysa sa 11 years ng kathniel," Guanzon wrote on Facebook over the weekend.

(The construction of MRT 7 is still longer than the 11 years of Kathniel.)

Guanzon was of course referring to the 22.8-kilometer MRT-7, which runs from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan up to the North Triangle Common Station in North Avenue, Quezon City. It is slated to fully open by 2025.

Although the construction technically began in 2017, the project was firsr conceived in 2001 and approved in 2004, or 19 years ago.

Of course Guanzon didn't stop there. She said in follow-up post: "Aabot din kaya ng 11 years bago dumating ang National ID ko?"

(Will my National ID also take 11 years before it will arrive?)

The release of National IDs has been a crapshoot for a lot of Filipinos. Hopefully, for Guanzon's sake, she wouldn't have to wait an eternity for her to get her hands on her ID.

Kathniel confirmed their break-up last Thursday.

Guanzon is a former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.
