Lotto outlet in Manila yields new millionaire

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Sunday, Dec. 3, announced that a P28.6-million worth of Lotto 6/42 winning ticket was bought at a lotto outlet in SM San Lazaro, Manila.

In the draw on Nov. 30, the sole bettor correctly guessed the winning number combination: 36-38-29-37-41-30.

PCSO said because the jackpot prize exceeded P10,000, it would be subject to a 20 percent tax deduction under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.

If the jackpot prize remains unclaimed one year after the draw date, it is forfeited and goes to the PCSO Charity Fund, as stated under Republic Act 1169 or the PCSO Charter.

The Lotto 6/42 draw is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
