The 6-foot-7 forward was awarded the season’s top individual plum following a brilliant performance that saw him bring the Green Archers to their first finals appearance in seven years.

Not to mention, last year’s Rookie of the Year delivered two rare triple-doubles in the elimination round and only had four non-double-double finishes through the 14-game period to join the Mythical Five

In his superb sophomore showing, the La Salle big man received the Acer of the Season, PSBankable Player of the Season and Hyundai Stargazer X Exceptional Player of the Season awards to sweep the three special awards that came with a total of P200,000.

Quiambao steered clear of his rivals and bested the rest of the field for the highest individual honor after averaging 16.71 points, 10.86 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.93 steals per game in the elimination round, amassing 97.0 statistical points.

Joining the 22-year-old Quiambao in the Mythical Five were University of the East’s fellow sophomore Rey Remogat, teammate Evan Nelle, Season 85 MVP and two-time member Malick Diouf and Far Eastern University’s L-Jay Gonzales.

Red Warriors guard Remogat finished second in the statistical race after posting averages of 16.5 points, 7.86 assists and 2.0 steals per game including resetting his career-best record to 34 points in the second round.

Nelle, meanwhile, earned 77.53 SPs with an all-around stats of 11.31 points, 6.85 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest in his final year with the Green Archers.

Graduating UP big man Diouf settled in the fourth spot with 74.76 SPs to make his back-to-back Mythical Five finish, norming 12.08 points, 13.23 rebounds, 1.62 blocks and 1.15 steals per game.

Finally, graduating senior Gonzales finished with 66.5 SPs with averages of 14.79 points, 7.79 rebounds, 3.14 assists and 2.0 steals a game.

Meanwhile, UP’s Francis Lopez was awarded Rookie of the Year to become the sixth Fighting Maroon to claim the award after Carl Tamayo in Season 84.

This, following Precious Momowei of UE’s disqualification for the top rookie honor due to two unsportsmanlike foul he committed in the elimination round.
