PCCI awards 7 outstanding Ilonggo entrepreneurs


ILOILO CITY – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)-Iloilo Chapter awarded seven outstanding Ilonggo entrepreneurs on December 27 at University of the Philippines (UP)-Visayas here.

Engr. Fulbert Woo, PCCI-Iloilo president, said the Search for Outstanding Ilonggo Entrepreneur Awards 2023 acknowledged their significant contributions to the community in this city and the province of Iloilo.

PCCI-Iloilo assessed their business practices and community impact based on excellence, resilience, and transformative contributions to the Ilonggo business landscape.

The awardees were Gerardo “Gerry” Guadarrama of Original Biscocho Haus, 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year; Mikka Ella Perlas of Healthy Kitchen, 2023 Young Entrepreneur Award and Sustainable Entrepreneur awardee in the sub-category for young entrepreneurs; Matthew Cristi Martirez of Rezbin Waste Technology, 2023 Aspiring Entrepreneur and Tech-Based Entrepreneur awardee; Tracy Fontanillas of Flour Bakery and Brunch Café OPC, Lcid Crescent Fernandez of Prometheus, Innovative Entrepreneur awardee; Maria Levy Anne Samson Amosin of Huzon Corp., Creative Entrepreneur awardee, and Homer Deloso, Non-Tech-Based Entrepreneur awardee.

PCCI-Iloilo selected the winners through a panel of judges from the academe, banking, and the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) sectors, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
