Taguig, BGC, Coke Studio say NYE event with Red Velvet, Pinoy artists free amid illegal ticket sales

The admission to the New Year’s Eve celebration in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig on Dec. 31 is free amid illegal ticket sales on social media.

This was emphasized by the Taguig City government, BGC and Coke Studio in a statement released on Dec. 28.

The BGC Taguig’s New Year’s Eve celebration, presented by Coke Studio, will be held on Dec. 31 at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street.

It will feature Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi and Wendy, Ely Buendia, Zack Tabuldo, KZ Tandingan, and Adie.

In the statement, Taguig, BGC and Coke Studio said, “It has come to the attention of the organizers that there are alleged sale of tickets for the NYE at the 5th: New Year’s Countdown circulating on social media.”

“Kindly note that admission to this event is entirely FREE, the limited red zone tickets are not for sale and not convertible to cash. Please remain vigilant, and we strongly discourage any illegal ticket transactions associated with this celebration,” they said.

They urged people that “for any illegal ticket transactions or posts, kindly report to I Love Taguig or Bonifacio High Street’s facebook pages.”

“We are thrilled to celebrate the New Year with you, and we're working hard to curate an unforgettable experience,” they said.

The BGC street party will showcase two larger-than-life 3D LED screens, and multiple satellite viewing areas. Families can plan their festive dinners with various BHS restaurants open until 1 a.m. to serve guests and visitors.

The festivities will be capped by a grand pyromusical display as the clock strikes midnight, illuminating the night sky and ushering in the new year.
