Escoses, who bested over 35 participants from different parts of the country, also triumphed in uneven bars and balance beam by listing 8.25 and 10. 55 points, respectively.

The Laguna native already made waves from her previous stint, winning the same accolade in the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) Challenge last July.

The 15-year-old athlete honed her skills at the Learn and Train Sports Academy (LTSA) in Makati, which is home to aspiring gymnasts in the likes of Cielo Esliza, Sabina Tayag and Angela Aboboto, who were victorious as well in the Batang Pinoy.

Esliza bagged bronze medal in the individual all-around and silver in the uneven bars event while Tayag had silver in the floor exercise event.

Esliza and Tayag teamed up with Aboboto to represent Makati and eventually pocketed the gold in the team event. The trio are members of the GAP.
