Laborer shot dead in Batangas

LIPA CITY, Batangas – A 30-year-old construction worker was shot dead in Purok 5, Barangay Inosluban, here, on Wednesday night, December 27.

Police identified the victim as Mark Lester Revarez, a resident of the area.

Revarez and a friend were hanging around in the area when a man arrived and shot the victim several times.

The suspect fled on foot with the murder weapon.

The victim was taken by his sister to the Metro Lipa Hospital but was declared dead by Dr. Stephanie Imperial due to multiple bullet wounds.

Police found three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu in the pocket of the victim at the hospital.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up operation.
