80 Cordillera cops complete internal security training


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Eighty police officers from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera are now equipped with knowledge and skills in basic internal security operations after completing the Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) in Barangay Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet, from September 28 to December 28.

Graduates received Certificates of Completion from the Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, Police Lt. Col. Jerry Haduca, representing Police Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet police chief, during the closing ceremony.

Three graduates of the BISOC Class "Kabadangan" were given Philippine National Police medals and Certificates of Commendation for their outstanding performance during the course – Police Patrolman Redentor Acosta (89.27 percent), Police Patrolman Brylle Jimenez (89.07 percent), and Police Patrolman June Angelo Sadem (89.03 percent).

Leadership awards were bestowed on Police Patrolman Leonard Palanay, class president, and Police Corporal  Norman Pangpangdeo, class marcher. The Top Gun Award was given to Police Patrolman Ebner Nitron and the Strongman “Tarzan” Award was awarded to Police Patrolman Rhidan Sucdad.

Haduca led the ceremonial handover of the BISOC badge and donning of the beret to the graduates.

He congratulated the graduates for completing the  training.

Haduca advised them to always remember the path they chose, which requires constant learning and adaptation, and remain agile, resilient, and innovative in their approach in the face of evolving threats and challenges.
