The Department of Science and Technology's television program (DOSTv) announced on Wednesday, Dec. 27 that broadcasting of its flagship television program, "DOST Report," will be put on hold.

DOST said the show will no longer be broadcast on PTV4 or posted on the DOSTv Facebook page and YouTube channel starting Jan. 2, 2024.
"DOST Report will temporarily cease on PTV4 and DOSTV Facebook Page and YouTube channel" beginning Jan. 2, 2024, until further notice," the statement read.
While the reasons for this have not been fully disclosed, the department expressed immense gratitude to its viewers.
“We are thankful for your loyal support,” it said.
“Rest assured that we will be back on air as we continuously improve our content and explore more ways to reach you,” it added.
The program is known for its informative segments on weather updates, scientific breakthroughs, life hacks or "Scifacts," and inspiring stories of science-driven success through "Sinesiyensya" documentaries.
Moreover, the popular DOSTv: Science For the People's "Siyensikat," which was created to address the daily issues Filipinos face by utilizing science-based solutions with the help of experts and technology, is also included.
