3 men nabbed for illegal possession of firearms in Caloocan

Operatives of the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) arrested three men for illegal possession of firearms in two separate operations in Caloocan City on Tuesday, Dec. 26.

Police said suspects alias "Jose," 57, and alias "Carlos," 24, both residents of Barangay 178, Camarin, Caloocan City, were arrested in the first operation.
Based on the police report, the CCPS operatives were approached by a man telling them that the suspects pointed guns at him at Villa CCO, Barangay 178, Camarin Caloocan City at around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
The police responded to the area where they spotted Jose holding a firearm.
The lawmen introduced themselves as police officers and confiscated the suspect's firearm.
Another gun was also seized from Carlos.
The suspects could not present documents for the confiscated .38-caliber guns loaded with ammunition.
Meanwhile, another suspect identified as alias "Anthony," 29, a resident of Barangay 120, Caloocan City, was arrested by CCPS operatives during the conduct of "Oplan Bulabog" at Josefina St., 3rd Avenue, Grace Park, Barangay 120, Caloocan. He was spotted with a firearm tucked in his waist.

He failed to provide documents for the 9mm pistol with one magazine and three pieces of live ammunition.
The arrested suspects were brought to the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for physical examination. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, police said.
