3 men arrested for drugs, acts of lasciviousness in Las Piñas and Pasay City

Three men wanted for illegal possession of drugs and acts of lasciviousness were arrested in separate operations conducted by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) of the Las Piñas and Pasay City police.
In Las Piñas, a 55-year-old man identified as a certain Ariel and tagged as Top 10 most wanted person for the fourth quarter of 2023 was arrested by operatives of the WSS and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) at around 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 26 along Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.
The police said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Anne Beatrice Aguana Balmaceda of Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 200, Las Piñas City on Nov.30 for service of sentence.
The suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility following his arrest.
In Pasay City, two men who are facing charges of acts of lasciviousness were arrested during a follow-up operation conducted on Dec. 24 and 25.
One of the suspects, identified as Venerando, 65, was arrested at around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 in Barangay 201, Pasay City.
The mother of a young girl filed a complaint against the suspect allegedly for making lewd advances on the girl by touching her legs and breast.
City police chief Col. Mario Mayames said members of the Pasay police assigned to the Villamor Airbase substation and barangay watchmen immediately conducted a follow-up operation for the arrest of Venerando.
Mayames said members of the Villamor Airbase substation received another complaint of acts of lasciviousness against a 27-year-old man identified as Reynand, a resident of Trece Martires.
He said the victim, a 15-year-old girl from Naic, Cavite, reported to her aunt the advances made by the suspect.
The city police chief said the mother of the victim who was informed of the incident immediately reported the incident to Villamor Airbase substation which launched an operation that led to the arrest of Reynand.
Mayames said the suspects were detained at the police custodial facility after their arrest and were charged with acts of lasciviousness in relation to child abuse.
The city police emphasized their commitment to the protection of the rights and welfare of children and encouraged citizens to report any incidents of abuse or suspicious activities.
Mayames assured the public that swift and decisive action will be taken to ensure justice for the victims.
