Woman dies in Christmas Day fire

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – A woman died in a fire that destroyed her house on Paulino St., Barangay VII-D, this city, on Christmas Day.

The Bureau of Fire Protection-San Pablo City identified the victim as Rowena.

Nearby fire brigades responded, including the Seven Lakes Fire Volunteers led by Councilor Carmela Acebedo and Dr. Edwin Acebedo, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).

The fire started at 3 a.m. and was put under control at 5:20 a.m.

Rowena’s remains were retrieved by the BFP here led by Senior Fire Officer 3 Jeffrey Calabia.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire and damage to property.
