The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the celebration of Christmas in the city was generally peaceful and no major incident was reported as of Tuesday, Dec. 26.

The QCPD deployed a total of 1,827 personnel from the district headquarters and police stations in the city, especially in places of convergence during the holidays.
Most of the force multipliers were deployed to malls, markets, transportation terminals, churches, and other business establishments in the city.
Meanwhile, QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico A. Maranan lauded the support and efforts of the local government units, church authorities, and other stakeholders that worked with them in strengthening and tightening the public's vigilance against all forms of criminality, especially during the nine days of dawn masses and the Christmas eve mass.
"The entire force of Team QCPD is always prompt in the implementation of its tactical and strategic deployment to ensure public safety throughout the observance of the season. I also reiterate to the people to remain watchful and on full alert to pre-empt illegal activities. Any suspicious persons or activity that may be observed must be reported immediately to proper authorities for appropriate action," Maranan said.
