Peacemaker stabbed dead on Christmas Eve


PLARIDEL, Quezon – A laborer was stabbed dead while pacifying his co-worker on Christmas Eve during a drinking spree in Barangay Concepcion here.

Police identified the victim as Robert Tolentino, 32, single, of Barangay Concepcion.

Investigation said the victim and the suspect, “Daniel,” 42, a co-worker of Tolentino, together with other friends, were having a drinking spree when a misunderstanding erupted between Daniel and one of their companions.

Tolentino tried to pacify Daniel but he drew a knife drew a knife and stabbed him several times in the body.

The victim was taken to the Doña Marta District Memorial Hospital in Atimonan, Quezon where he was declared dead.

Daniel fled on board on motorcycle and took the murder weapon with him.

Police are conducting manhunt against the suspect who face appropriate charges.
