Aboitiz InfraCapital is 'best industrial developer in Asia'

Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) Economic Estates was hailed as the "Best Industrial Developer in Asia" for the third consecutive year during the 18th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

The industrial estate development firm also clinched three other awards namely "Best Industrial Development in Asia"; "Best Mixed Use Development in Asia" for its LIMA Central Business District; and "Best Green Development in Asia" for its LIMA Estate.

AIC Economic Estates Head Rafael Fernandez de Mesa said the awards fuel the company's "drive to push the boundaries in industrial development and to further work with our government leaders and industry partners to bring about economic progress, not just within the Philippines, but across the broader Asian region."

The firm said it has been expanding its industrial estate footprint in the country by attracting local and international industry stakeholders in various sectors such as "automotive components and wire harness, electronics and semiconductors, medical technologies, printers, motorcycle production, and food and beverage."

To date, AIC has attracted 200 companies and generated 100,000 jobs for Filipinos.

LIMA Estate in Batangas has also expanded to 826 hectares in 2023 from 374 hectares in 2013.

A 39-hectare industrial expansion of West Cebu Estate in Cebu is also ongoing, along with plans for a new central business district.

AIC will also be opening a 200-hectare Economic Estate in Tarlac City by the first half of 2024.

"We strive to replicate the achievements witnessed in Batangas and Cebu, drawing in additional manufacturing companies, along with local businesses looking to expand their presence in the Central Luzon market," said Fernandez de Mesa.
