3 NPA surrender in Calabarzon


CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Three New People’s Army rebels surrendered to the police in the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon region on Christmas Eve.

The Police Regional Office 4-A identified the surrenderers as “Ka Rey,” a member of the Apolonio Mendoza Command (AMC) in Quezon, “Ka Marvin,” a member of Platoon Silangan under the Sub-Regional Military Area 4-C (SRMA 4-C) in Cavite, and “Ka Deline,” a member of NPA in the Barrio operating in Batangas.

Ka Rey surrendered a caliber .38 revolver to the 405th A Maneuver Company in Mauban, Quezon; Ka Marvin, a caliber .38 revolver, bullets, blasting cap, detonation cord, and a time fuse to the 401st A Maneuver Company in Silang, Cavite, and Ka Deline, a caliber .38 with six bullets to the 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company in Rosario, Batangas.

They surrendered in response to the government's call to embrace peace and live a normal life.

Police are processing their documents to enable them to avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) for rebel returnees.
