CCTV installation a requisite in renewing Mayor's Permit in Paranaque City

The Parañaque City government announced that the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will strictly implement City Ordinance No.14-03, otherwise known as “ An ordinance mandating the installation of CCTV cameras in business establishments and private subdivisions operating within Parañaque” as a requirement for the renewal of Mayors Permit in January, 2024.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the BPLO, under the supervision of Atty. Melanie Soriano-Malaya, will require all business establishments operating in the city to submit proof of compliance or certification that they have duly installed CCTV cameras.
Olivarez said businesses that are covered by the ordinance are banks. shopping malls, and tenants with doors; gasoline refilling and service stations, supermarkets; money changers; 24-hour convenience store; schools including colleges and universities; fast food and quick service restaurants; car dealership; pawnshops; money courier; games and amusement center duly accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR); bars; health clubs and hotels.
Also covered by the ordinance are other establishments which operate, transact and deal with any of the following: business establishments that handle monetary transactions in the regular course of business amounting to the exchange of goods and services with a daily average amount of more than P50,000 and business establishments that transact an average daily with more than 200 clients.
The mayor also said the renewal of business permit in the city will be from January 3 to February 28, 2024.

app.bploparanaque.com/bpls and follow the instructions to complete the process.
Malaya said for onsite renewal, applicants may book their appointment at app.bploparanaque.com/appointment and only those with confirmed appointment schedule may be allowed to transact at the BPLO lounge.
She said for walk-in transactions, a very limited number of walk-in slots may be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the capacity of the BPLO lounge.
Malaya added that those who are renewing more than 10 business permits at a time shall only be allowed to do so via dropbox.
