Valve repairs prompt water interruptions in 15 Western MM barangays
West zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. has scheduled a valve replacement activity in parts of Quezon City and Valenzuela City.
According to the water company, the repairs are being done to improve the water service within Western Metro Manila.
Maynilad assured consumers that the maintenance is set during the evening to early morning to avoid further convenience.
The affected barangays are as follows:
Dec. 27 to 28, from 9 PM to 8 AM
- QC – Brgys. Bagbag, Bagong Silangan, Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Greater Fairview, Gulod, Holy Spirit, North Fairview, Payatas, San Bartolome, Sauyo, Sta. Lucia, Sta. Monica, Talipapa
- Valenzuela City – Ugong (Hobart Subdivision)
Maynilad is advising its customers to begin saving water supply before the water disruption to minimize the impact of the service construction.
Water tankers will arrive in areas affected to deliver extra supplies to those in need.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) announced the new rates of Maynilad which will be effective next year.
Because of this, consumers within Manila, Pasay, Parañaque, Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Valenzuela, Navotas, Malabon, and parts of Makati, Quezon City, and Cavite province will have an increased monthly base rate of P7.87 per cubic meter.
