Sandro spends holidays giving away 'ayuda'

Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos has been spending his holidays so far by doling out much-needed cash assistance or "ayuda" to his constituents. 

This past week has seen the presidential son take part in two payouts for different subsidies. Marcos documented these on his Facebook. 

"Attended the First Batch (500 out of 3000 beneficiaries) of Pay-Out for the Tulong Dunong Program," the neophyte congressman wrote in a post six days ago. 

Under the Tulong Dunong, the beneficiaries will receive a total subsidy of P15,000. 

"500 students received P7500 each, and will receive the next P7500 next semester," Marcos wrote.

Last Thursday, the solon from Ilocos Norte led a food subsidy and medical assistance payout in Laoag City. 

A total of P15.3 million worth of assistance was distributed to 5,069 beneficiaries, said the House senior deputy majority leader. 

The House of Representatives went on holiday recess last Dec. 16. House members won't covnene again until Jan. 22, 2024.
