Police inspect transport terminals in Tuguegarao

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan â€“ Police Regional Office 2 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher C. Birung inspected bus and van terminals here on Saturday to ensure the safety of the people going home this Christmas.

Birung, who inspected the Victory Liner, GV Florida, and central van terminals, urged drivers to maintain the roadworthiness of their vehicles before traveling.

He urged them to refrain from drinking liquor before and during their trips.

Policemen detailed in these terminals were reminded of their duty to maintain peace and order.

Birung said these proactive measures will contribute to a smooth and safe travel experience for the people during the festive season.

He was accompanied in the inspection by Police Col. Rodelio Samson, deputy regional director for operations; Police Col. Jimmy Garrido, chief, Regional Operations Division; Police Col. Julio Gorospe, Cagayan police chief; Police Lt. Col. Richard Gatan, police chief here, Police Major Sharon Mallillin, officer-in-charge, Regional Public Information office, and the media.
