“Babala. Ipinapaalam ng Office of the Vice President sa publiko na ang social media promo na ito ay panloloko o scam (Warning. The Office of the Vice President wants the public to know that this social media promo is a scam),” the post on the OVP’s official Facebook page on Friday, Dec. 22, read.

The post was shared by Duterte on her Facebook page.

“Hindi ito programa ni Vice President Sara Duterte o ng OVP. Kung kayo ay may impormasyon hinggil dito, ipagbigay alam agad sa mga pulis (This is not a program of Vice President Sara Duterte or the OVP. If you have information about this, please let the police know --- fake news),” it added.

So far, the warning has 410 reactions and 287 shares on the OVP’s Facebook page. The post shared by Duterte has 1,000 reactions and 113 shares.

The OVP’s warning, however, did not say where the post originated from.

The said scam used a photo of Duterte with a description on how to join the giveaway.

It said, “Groceries at 10k Cash Pamaskong Hatid ng Ating Vice President Inday Sarah Duterte. Magpalista na sa mga Link (Groceries and 10k in cash a Christmas gift of our Vice President Sarah Duterte. Register in the link)!.”

On the caption are the supposed links where to register. It also provided a reminder that only those who will register are to be prioritized.
