Metro Manila, most of Luzon may experience rains due to 'amihan'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Dec. 23, said the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will continue to prevail in parts of the country, particularly in most of Luzon, including Metro Manila.

In PAGASA's 4 p.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be felt in Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon due to amihan.
PAGASA advised the public to be wary of flash floods or landslides that may occur in times of moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the Bicol Region, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, where partly cloudy to cloudy skies will be experienced.
PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides will also be expected in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
