One of the delightful boys’ love (BL) series this year is the Thai drama “Bake Me Please,” which is now streaming on GagaOOLala.
“Bake Me Please” (พิชิตใจ นายสายหวาน) stars actors Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert as Shin, Guide Kantapon Chompupan as Peach, Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat as Guy, Prame Nopanut Thanatintrakul as Oab, and Atom Nathaphop Kanjanteak as Atom.

Ohm is known for his role as Dean in the BL series “Until We Meet Again” while Guide starred as Ming in the 2023 series “I Feel You Linger in the Air.”
In the series, Ohm plays the role of Shin, “a passionate dessert chef, runs a bakery and works hard to achieve his goal. But one day, a boy named Peach [Guide] joins the team. What changes will he bring to Shin? The shop that embodies friendship, love, and dreams is now open for business!” according to GagaOOLala.
Manila Bulletin interviewed Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert, 26; Guide Kantapon Chompupan, 23; Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat, 26; and Atom Nathaphop Kanjanteak, 20, about the drama.

The four stars talked about excitement and happiness to be in “Bake Me Please,” their memorable moments this year, goals in 2024, and their wanting to hold a fan meeting in the Philippines.
In the drama, you are bakers. How did you prepare for your roles?
Ohm - Apart from joining the workshop, I also went down to the background of the character. I tried to be in the role 100 percent to make it look believable.

Guide - We underwent a baking workshop and acting workshop. Like my character, he is very, very cheerful all the time, which is contrary to my real personality. I’m like a sleepy boy. I need to adjust a lot.
Poom - I have no background in this as well. I needed to join the workshop and act like a chef. I read through all the scripts, like the relationship between each of them, how it is and how I can adapt to it.
Atom - I needed to go through a baking workshop as well. But my character is pretty much like my personality in real life. I have a dream that I have been reaching. This is the first time that I do this thing.
Why did you accept to star in ‘Bake Me Please’?
Ohm - It started from the studio project called Snap project that gathered five of them together. We brought our personalities and built them into our characters that you see in ‘Bake Me Please.’ We tried to build a relationship outside the show as well.
Guide - After I knew that five of us from the Snap project will be joining the show, I was really excited. This was gonna be fun and would make us closer.

Poom - This project is quite interesting because we have known each other, working with each other for a while but never been into this big, long show like this before. I have never acted as a chef before so this is like fun and cute for me. All the actors are very close together.
Atom - When I heard that I got the role, I was really, really happy about it. As a newbie, I quite accepted it right away. I am very lucky to get this opportunity because I am newbie and I have less experience than the others. This was a good chance for me to improve my acting.
How is the chemistry among yourselves on the set and off the set?
Ohm - My role is really like an introvert guy in the show but behind the scenes, we really have fun and are close together and playful to each other.
Guide - Since we are close with each other, it’s easier to work in front of the camera. It brings out something when we need to do a big scene. Everybody’s worked hard on this and professional about it.
What are the similarities between your roles in the drama and your real selves?
Ohm - My character (Shin) is like a private person, really loves his own space, and prefers not to talk with each other.
Guide - The similarity is when we set our eyes on something, we want to reach it, we have a clear goal, we want to go for it. We have a very positive attitude. I have a very positive attitude off screen and on screen.
Poom - The similarity between me and my character (Guy) is that I’m a cheerful person. One difference is that my character thinks too much. I’m not like that in real life.

Atom - What you see on the screen pretty much reflects my personality in real life. Off screen, I’m a little more understanding and more mature than my character (Atom).
Ohm and Guide, how did you prepare for your kissing scenes in the drama?
Ohm - First we agreed on how far we will go in these kinds of scenes. When we agree and we are on the same page, it’s easier for us to get on the scene.
Guide - Apart from agreeing, we kinda talk and talk it through before getting on to the scenes. This way, it will make us more comfortable when we need to play it.
The year 2023 is about to end. What do you think are your most memorable events in your career and personal lives this year?
Ohm - It is how I have a good balance between work and life. I work hard, I work a lot like I work seven days and then I get to rest the next seven days. That is my achievement this year. I hope it gets better next year, that I can balance it better.
Guide - What is memorable about this year is how I got to grow up more from last year. I got to explore new things and I hope that next year, this kind of thing will progress better.
Poom - This show [‘Bake Me Please’] is the most memorable thing in my career this year. I come to the set and miss my friends. It feels like it’s not work. I come to work but it feels that it’s not work. Everybody’s close together. It’s very easy and we have fun but not too much fun.
Atom - The most memorable moment this year is that I got to work with all of them, other actors on the set. It’s work but it’s also a time where I can relax as well. I’m very thankful for the team for embracing me. I learned a lot from this group of actors. They are my idols. When I work outside the set, I get a lot of compliments. These compliments come from how I learned from other actors.

What are your wishes in 2024 and what do you want to achieve next year?
Ohm - I have one goal: to further my study. Education is really important so I would like to further it. That’s my goal in 2024.
Guide - I would like to try to act in a movie and a play. I wish that ‘Bake Me Please’ will have a fan meeting in the Philippines.
Poom - I would like to learn more about acting and the other kinds of arts like dancing and singing. I wish that ‘Bake Me Please’ will be very successful that we can have a fan meet in the Philippines as well.
Atom - I wish that I can plan things a little more systematic. I also want to get a new role. And also the one thing I wish to do is go back to the modeling industry and maybe I can be on stage as a model in the Philippines.
