It seems that people misread the alleged conversations of Rob Gomez, Herlene Budol and Bianca Manalo that seeped into social media recently.
No, there's nothing salacious about it.
For Rob, it was just a mere case of robbery, plain and simple.
He said so himself, relating in a statement how his phone was stolen by Shaila Rebortera, the mother of his child, who then used it, going on to post stuff "with the intention of destroying my reputation."
As to why Shaila would exert effort to defile his character, he didn’t say.
Then again, it’s public knowledge that they are not exactly in best terms.
Shaila came out publicly with their baby after he maintained in interviews that he is single.
That she would also come out with pictures of her bruised body right after, should not be construed as sweet nothings.
Meanwhile, Bianca is claiming innocence, insisting in a separate statement that she and Rob are mere “friends and co-workers.”
As to why she was asking him to meet up with her in one of the leaked exchanges, she explained that it was so he could bring her his “Christmas gifts.”
“I wanted to receive them early before I leave for the airport,” she added.
Of course.
Maybe there's no public delivery system in their area.
No mention as to why she had to make clear to him though that “he is not here but in Valenzuela.”
She maintained simply that “parts of our conversation were deleted to create malicious insinuations."
Bianca is upset about it all, deeming the leak a “breach of privacy.”
Thankfully, she was still able to wish everybody concerned a happy Christmas.
Herlene, on the other hand, stayed in character, making known to all that she is actually clueless about the issue, stressing this by taking to social media to ask no one in particular, “Bakit ako nakaladkad?"
She added, “Pag dedicated ka sa trabaho, gagawan ka ng issue!”
At one point, she suggested that the exchange were implements needed to help them memorize their lines.
No matter. Fans aren’t buying it.
They are still too busy making fun of the trio on social media.
Until, of course, the next hot topic comes along.
Indeed, much as Pinoys love to gossip, they are only too quick to leave the matter be if and when something juicier comes along.
Andrea Brillantes and Daniel Padilla should know.
After all, they were, together with Kathryn Bernardo, in the same position as Rob, Herlene, Bianca only days ago.
They are now yesterday’s news.
That's just the way things are in local showbiz.
