Newly elected officials of Las Piñas Liga ng Baranggay take oath

The newly-elected officers of the Liga ng Mga Barangay were sworn into office by Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
Aguilar said the event marks a new era in barangay-level governance and development as the barangay captains from across the city commit to align their efforts with both local and national development plans.
She said the league's primary functions include prioritizing comprehensive development projects that harmonize with national policies, enhancing community participation in local government, and fostering collaboration with government and non-governmental organizations to support the social, economic, and political well-being of barangay residents.
The mayor said the initiatives are aimed at empowering residents, promoting civic engagement, and ensuring coordinated efforts for community advancement.
Aguilar also said the inauguration of the Liga ng Mga Barangay's new officers signifies a step forward in grassroot governance and local community development in Las Piñas City.
She said the league's renewed focus on education, community linkages, and comprehensive development, is expected to drive significant improvements in the quality of life of barangay inhabitants, reinforcing Las Piñas City's commitment to progressive and inclusive governance.
