Showbiz personality Vice Ganda has found an ally in P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon regarding the former's eyebrow-raising remark that poor people shouldn't start a family.

Guanzon, in a Facebook post Thursday, Dec. 21, says she agrees with Vice Ganda's hot take and that love simply isn't enough for a family to thrive.

"Agree ako kay Vice Ganda, di na pwedeng mahal niyo lang ang isa't isa pero wala kayongpambili ng pagkain, mamemerwisyo pa sa iba," Guanzon wrote.

(I agree with Vice Ganda. You can just be in love with each other and have no money for food, you'll be a burden to others.)

Earlier, Vice Ganda remarked that people who were penniless shouldn't start a family.

"Dahil kawawa lalong lalo na kung may iluluwal kang batang hindi mo mapapakain ng maayos. At the end of the day, ikaw ang sasalba sa sarili mo. Hindi ibang tao, no hindi gobyerno. Ikaw," Vice Ganda said.

(Your child would be especially pitiful if he or she cannot be fed properly. At the end of the day, it's you who will save yourself. Not other people, not even the government. You.)

At any rate, the controversial host was aware that such opinion "might offend other people".

Guanzon is a former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.
