Gov. Aris Aumentado, a key supporter of the project, led the turnover of the house to couple Joel and Bienvenida Escabusa in Barangay Imelda, Duero town.

Aumentado lauded the BPPO headed by Police Col. Lorenzo Batuan for initiating the project.

The governor assured that he will continue to support the LAB project.

“Even if we have the department for this kind of project, we want to support this so we can give our people a decent house to live in,” said Aumentado.

The LAB project has donated 13 houses to chosen beneficiaries at present.

The governor and his wife, Bohol District Rep. Vanessa Aumentado, had previously donated cash from their own pockets to support the project.

During the turnover, Aumentado handed over P300,000 to the BPPO for the construction of another house this month.

Another P300,000 will be donated to the BPPO to fund the project in January next year.

“While we cannot provide free houses to everyone, at least we are doing our best to provide shelter to those who are really in need,” Aumentado said.

Police Capt. Marvin Chin, chief of the Duerto Municipal Police Station, thanked Aumentado and the BPPO for choosing the town to be a part of the project.
