ACEN's P37.7-B wind power project gets green lane approval
The Board of Investments (BOI) has awarded a Green Lane Certificate of Endorsement to Ayala Group's energy firm ACEN Corporation's 335-megawatt ISLA Wind project worth P37.7 billion to further bolster sustainable energy prospects in the country.

The endorsement was formally given on Dec. 6 at the BOI Main Office in Makati City by Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo.
The onshore project is located across the provinces of Laguna and Quezon. Its commercial operations is expected to begin by the fourth quarter of 2025.
With the new renewable energy (RE) grid, ACEN estimated that it can provide around 1,540 employment vacancies for Filipinos.
ACEN Senior Vice President (SVP) for Development Rodrigo San Pedro, Jr. said they are "grateful to the BOI for the green lane endorsement to help expedite processes and requirements for our new landmark wind project."
"This support sets the precedent for our continuous collaboration with the government to accelerate the country’s renewables share,” said the SVP.
Aside from providing addition revenue, the project also aims to open more tourism opportunities and community activities for the local government units of Quezon and Laguna.
On the same day, the BOI also approved a Green Lane certification to its first offshore wind power project -- the P81.675 billion Frontera Bay Wind Power Project in Cavite by Ivisan Windkraft Corporation.
