SBP President Al Panlilio led the turnover rites at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, where the FIBA World Cup floorings were installed.

The floorings came from the two main venues of the event -- the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the Mall of Asia Arena -- where group stages until final matches were held.

Joining Panlilio in the ceremony were PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann, SBP deputy executive director Butch Antonio, FIBA World Cup 2023 Deputy Event Director Erika Dy and and SBP special assistant to the president Ryan Gregorio.

Panlilio said the gesture was a way to show gratitude to PSC's support in hosting the said global basketball showpiece.

The country was one of the three hosts of the FIBA World Cup held late in August until September with Germany clinching the title over Serbia.
