The National Privacy Commission (NPC) on Thursday, Dec. 21 said it had successfully completed its second International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification.

It passed its second Surveillance Audit conducted on Dec. 15.
"Maintaining the NPC's ISO 9001:2015 certification is a testament to its dedication to quality management and to providing services to our stakeholders at par with international standards," NPC Commissioner John Henry D. Naga said in a statement.
"The NPC is poised to continuously progress and enhance our operational efficiency, streamline processes, and perform our mandate with greater value to Filipinos and organizations we serve," he added.
The ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized Quality Management system (QMS) standard. This underscored the significance of consistently improving performance, fulfilling customer expectations, and showcasing a commitment to quality at all organizational levels.
The Surveillance Audit entailed an assessment of the NPC's QMS to ascertain its implementation, maintenance, and sustainability.
"The certifying body, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc., expressed confidence that the NPC continues to fulfill the requirements for international standards and recommended for its ISO 9001:2015 re-certification," NPC said.
The commission obtained its first ISO certification in December 2021–ISO 9001 is acknowledged as the world's most extensively utilized quality management standard, with over one million certificates issued to organizations in 189 countries.
"The Privacy Commissioner also assured stakeholders that the NPC will continue to uphold organizational productivity while protecting the privacy rights of Filipinos, fostering trust, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery," NPC said.
