Illegal drugs haul in NPD buy-bust ops in Malabon and Caloocan

Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) seized a total of P333,520 worth of alleged shabu and marijuana and arrested four suspects in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Malabon and Caloocan on Thursday, Dec. 21.

Police identified the suspects as alias “Okeng,” 32, and alias “Anjoe,” 24, both residents of Barangay 4, Caloocan City.

Report showed that the MCPS operatives conducted a buy-bust operation along P. Concepcion St., Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City at around 2:45 a.m., on Dec. 21.

A police officer acted as a poseur-buyer and bought P12,500 worth of illegal drugs from the suspect, which led to his arrest.

Police confiscated from the suspectsaround 1,000 grams of marijuana valued at P120,000, 20.7 grams of shabu with a street value of P140, 760, a Christmas gift bag, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) identified the suspect as alias “Ornel,” 67; and a 17-year-old boy, both residents of Barangay 36, Caloocan City.

Based on the police report, CCPS operatives conducted a buy-bust operation along Macabalo St., Barangay 36, Caloocan City, at around 12:58 a.m, on Thursday, Dec 21., which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

Confiscated from the suspect were around 10.7 grams of shabu worth P72,760 and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the 17-year-old boy will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), police said.
