ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) of the Razon Group remains focused on improving services in this city while preparing for expansion in the provinces of Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
“I would like to focus on our commitments here in Iloilo City,” said MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Castro.

He said there are still tasks to be done to improve its services here since it took over from Panay Electric Co. (PECO) early in 2020.
Castro noted that expansion projects are merely extensions of MORE Power’s main priority – the consumers here.
MORE Power was able to amend its congressional franchise in Republic Act No. 11212 last year, enabling it to serve towns in the second and four districts in Iloilo under Iloilo Electric Cooperatives I and II.
This year, Primelectric Holdings Inc. of the Razon Group entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Central Negros Cooperative (CENECO) that serves Bacolod City and neighboring towns in Negros Occidental.
Castro said there was never any plan to take over the franchise area of CENECO.
“To put it in proper perspective, our expansion to Bacolod was asked by consumers so it was not like we just wanted to take over the city,” said Castro, who is set to head the newly established Negros Electric and Power Corp. (NEPC) of the Razon Group that will operate in Negros.
