DAVAO CITY – Over 200 barangay officials and eight families affected by a recent fire in Mati City, Davao Oriental, received on Wednesday, December 20, sacks of rice from Vice President Sara Z. Duterte.

Duterte donated these sacks of rice to Mati City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat as her Christmas gift.
The donation arrived in the city on Monday, December 18.
Rabat distributed sacks of rice to 286 barangay officials from 26 barangays and eight families affected by last week's fire in Purok Kaislaman, Magsaysay, Coastal Road.
According to the Mati City Information Office (CIO), at least 70 individuals were rendered homeless by the fire.
The city and other concerned agencies had earlier distributed assistance to the fire victims.
Rabat thanked VP Duterte for her generosity to the people of Mati.
