The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday, Dec. 20 announced that 594 out of 1,148 passed the Chemists Licensure Examination and 2,600 out of 3,138 passed the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination.
Visayas State University graduate Krizzia Mae Dampios Ignacio topped the chemists board examination with an average of 92.60 percent.

Meanwhile, Aissa Marie Bucayan Flores of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University and Marjorie Del Campo Ocampo of the University of the Philippines-Los Baños topped the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination. Both scored 92.50 percent.

Meanwhile, UP-Diliman was the top-performing school for the December 2023 chemistry licensure exams, with an 83.08 percent passing rate.
On the other hand, the top spot for the December 2023 chemical technician licensure exam was secured by two universities: Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, both of which had a 100 percent passing average.

The December 2023 Chemists and Chemical Technicians board exams were administered by the Board of Chemistry, headed by Adoracion P. Resurreccion, chairman; Soledad S. Castañeda and Ma. Theresa C. Cayton, members.
The examination was held on Dec. 13 to 15 in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro (CDO), Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban and Zamboanga.
Passers who wish to participate in the face-to-face mass oathtaking must register at the PRC website no later than noon on the day before the scheduled oathtaking date.
