The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, Dec. 20 said the Low Pressure Area (LPA) west of the country has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) at around 2 p.m.

In PAGASA's 4 p.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the LPA was last observed 495 kilometers west-northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Althouh it has exited the PAR, the trough or extension of the LPA and the warm easterly winds may continue to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan and Bicol region.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in the affected areas due to moderate to heavy rains, said PAGASA.
In Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, cloudy skies with rains will be experienced while in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be expected both due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
PAGASA also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
