P515,000 worth of shabu seized in Pasig buy-bust

The Eastern Police District (EPD) confiscated a total of P515,440 worth of illegal drugs from a 26-year-old female suspect in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City.

The suspect identified as "Mich" was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 29. She has been tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) by the authorities.

According to the police, the EPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) conducted a buy-busts operation in Barangay Pinagbuhatan Wednesday midnight, which resulted in the suspect's arrest.

Confiscated from her were five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, a knot-tied plastic sachet both around 75.8 grams of shabu, one black pouch, and one P500 bill used buy-bust money.

The arrested suspect is temporarily detained at the Pasig Police custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

EPD Director Wilson Asueta lauded the EPD DDEU for the successful arrest of the suspect.
