Police identified the suspects as Lintag, Quiroza, and Sevilla.

Based on the police report, Lintag and Sevilla rented a Mitsubishi Xpander vehicle on Nov. 27 from Jocelyn dela Cruz, who manages a rental and transport services business, for P3,000 for one-day use.

However, after the rental period ended, Sevilla allegedly took possession of the vehicle without the owner's consent, prompting her to ask for help from the police on Nov. 30.

With the assistance of the Global Positioning System (GPS) installed in the vehicle, police found the vehicle's location at Stretch No. 39 Heidelberg St., 5H Home Owners Association, Brgy. BF Homes, Paranaque City.

Upon arrival at the location, the owner positively identified her vehicle inside the garage of the house.

The operatives successfully retrieved the vehicle, which was temporarily impounded at DACU.

Police said that suspect Quizora, the driver of the stolen vehicle, managed to escape upon sensing the presence of the police officers in the area.

Operatives conducted a manhunt operation against the three suspects.

QCPD chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said the suspects will face appropriate charges when they are arrested.

"We want to reassure the public that we are taking decisive action, and the appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the suspects involved in this case,” he said.

“I also extend my gratitude to the vehicle’s owner for placing trust in our police force, a trust that has yielded positive results in the recovery of the stolen vehicle. The QCPD remains resolute in its dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of all QCitizens," he added.
