A 30-foot giant Christmas tree  was lit up by the provincial government of Bulacan on Friday, Dec. 1, in front of the Capitol Building in the City of Malolos, signalling the start of the Bulakenyo Christmas celebration.

Simultaneously, the Hiyas ng Bulacan Provincial Band and DYCI Dagalak,  who won during the 2023 Busan Choral Festival and a competition in South Korea, serenaded the Bulakenyos in attendance with classic Christmas songs.
