Anne Curtis makes history at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

It will be unveiled by 2024

There’s no denying Filipino talent, and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong continues to acknowledge this in its hallowed halls. They are proud to welcome multimedia superstar Anne Curtis to their famed attraction this year.

As one of the most successful actors of her time, Anne is set to make history by becoming the first Filipino actress and TV host to grace Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s “Hong Kong Glamour Zone.” Her figure will share space with Hollywood bigwigs like Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Chris Hemsworth in the same area.

“I’m so happy it came at the right time,” said Anne in a press statement. “It truly is an honor. To have this dream come true, I’m grateful and very thankful to Madame Tussauds for choosing me.”

Anne’s wax figure will feature her in an iconic and familiar pose. On the other hand, her outfit will exude a classic look meant to stand the test of time as her likeness is immortalized in the attraction.

Anne also shared her experience working with the team of sculptors who are working on her wax figure. “Coming to the sitting I thought they’ll be plastering my whole body and I had to stay completely still and lay down like a mummy…but it turned out to be so easy,” she said. “I only had to stay still while they take 360° photos and measurements of me. The skill they’ve used to measure me was so impressive.”

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is among the top choices of attractions in Hong Kong for Filipinos and tourists from all over the world because of the fun, immersive, and interactive experience it offers.

"We’re happy to see the influx of Filipino tourists visiting Hong Kong every year. Hong Kong has become a top destination and we believe it’s important to continuously give them something to look forward to, and this is, why we at Madame Tussauds are always delighted to recognize Filipino talent in our attraction,” said Wade Chang, general manager of Midway Hong Kong, Merlin Entertainments.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s skilled team of sculptors from the UK are currently working on the much-anticipated figure, with production projected to run and set to be unveiled by the end of 2024.
