5 Metro Manila cities to experience water interruptions

West Zone Concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. announced a 10-day long service maintenance in parts of Manila, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Pasay, and Quezon City.

Starting Monday, Dec. 4 to Dec. 12, the water company will conduct various activities spread throughout the five cities.

According to Maynilad, water works include a pressure test, which examines supply flows in certain areas; a water audit, wherein an inspection is done to prevent water losses within the primary and secondary lines; preventive maintenance of sync panel and replacement in the pumping station and reservoir; and motor replacement.

Leak detections will also affect water pressure in some areas in QC.

Below is the list of areas and their water disruption schedule:

Dec. 4 to 5

  • 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
    • Quezon City – Mariblo, Masambong, and Apolonio Samson

Dec. 5, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

  • Quezon City – Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Payatas, Nagkaisang Nayon, San Agustin

Dec. 5 to 6

  • 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
    • Quezon City – Nagkaisang Nayon, San Agustin
  • 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM
    • Tondo, Manila – Brgys. 198 to 220 and 202-A

Dec. 6 to 7

  • 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
    • Quezon City – Manresa, Paang Bundok, St. Peter
  • 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM
    • Ermita, Manila – Brgy. 663-A
    • Quiapo, Manila – Brgys. 385 to 389

Dec. 8 to 9

  • 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
    • Quezon City – San Antonio

Dec. 9 to 10, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

  • Quezon City – Gulod, Nova Proper

Dec. 12, from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM

  • Muntinlupa – Sucat
  • Parañaque – BF Homes, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, Merville, Moonwalk, San Antonio, San Isidro, San Martin De Porres and Sun Valley
  • Pasay – Brgy. 181 to 185 and 201

Residents are advised to stock up on enough water before the service interruptions. Meanwhile, Maynilad assured the availability of water tankers to deploy more supplies for those in need. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
