The Taguig City government added 10 new barangays to its jurisdiction following a Supreme Court decision this year.

The 10 new barangays now under Taguig are Cembo, Comembo, Pembo, East Rembo, West Rembo, South Cembo, Pitogo, Post Proper Northside, Post Proper Southside and Rizal.

Before the distribution, the city government started the house-to-house distribution of “Pamaskong Handog” packages to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women in EMBO barangays.

"Ramdam po namin ang pag-ibig sa Pasko sa Taguig kasi tingnan niyo naman po, ang ayos ng ipinapamigay. Kaya po, pinapasalamatan namin kayo dahil sa mga binigay niyo sa amin ngayong Pasko (We feel the love of Christmas in Taguig because look, what was given was nice. That’s why we thank you for what you have given us this Christmas),” said Antonio Pascual, a resident of Comembo.

Resident Erlinda Saludes, 49, said, "Andami pong binigay ng Taguig at kumpleto po talaga kaya buo na ang Noche Buena namin. Maraming salamat po dahil alam niyo po ang makakapagpasaya sa tao. (Taguig gave us so many and it is really complete for our Noche Buena. Thank you because you know what will make people happy).”

Each “Pamaskong Handog” package contains 10 kilos of rice, three Argentina meat loaf, two big sized Argentina corned beef, one The Original Hotcake Mix, one box Eden Cheeze, one Kremdensada, one can of fruit cocktail, one pack of Oreo, and one kilo of spaghetti pasta and sauce.

All families in Taguig will each get a Christmas package.
