Man shot dead in Tondo; MPD hunts down 6 suspects

Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) are hunting down six still unidentified suspects who shot dead a man in Tondo, Manila on Monday evening, Dec. 18.

The MPD-Raxabago Station (PS-1) identified the victim as Joel Justiana, 46, a resident of Balut, Tondo. 

According to the initial police report, the victim was playing darts in Barangay 142 in Balut, Tondo, around 11:00 p.m. when the suspects suddenly appeared behind the victim.

The police said the suspects shot the victim repeatedly which resulted in his immediate death.

After the incident, the suspects fled carrying the gun they used in the killing.

Authorities immediately conducted a follow-up investigation. 

The backtracking operation is currently ongoing, the police said.
