Public service program ‘CIA with BA’ celebrated the life and legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano – the father of hosts Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano – along with Boy Abunda.
In the episode on Sunday, Dec. 17, the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) Best Talk Show nominee paid tribute to the senior Cayetano, who was also known as “Compañero,” through a spoken word poetry delivered by Juan Miguel Severo that highlighted his leadership, his contributions to society as a politician and as a gentleman, and his fatherhood.
“Sa lahat ng kilala si Tatay, he would have really appreciate it dahil may naiwan pala siya na nakatulong sa next generation,” said Kuya Alan.
“He loved being with people. Passionate talaga siya to be with different people, to be part of different groups, to be a mover, and to get to know them… we’re very proud,” said Ate Pia.
